Filipino BBQ Skewers
I’m Filipino, so I was excited to find this Filipino BBQ Skewers recipe by Gina Homolka! This dish brings back so many memories of family cookouts. And I love that you can make it on the grill. I think everything should be cooked on the grill during the summer months because for me it means:
- Less cleanup (no slaving over a hot stove or oven, oh yeah!)
- Quicker meals (it sure seems like it to me) and
- Less effort (because my husband does most of the grilling – woohoo!)
This recipe calls for pork, but you can use chicken or beef as well.

To go along with my grill everything and stay out of the kitchen idea, I give you with the Ultimate BBQ Chicken recipe from Cooking Light. My mouth is watering just looking at it. And here’s a tip: keeping the skin on until the very end keeps the chicken moist – no dried out, chewy chicken for your guests.

You’ll need plenty of napkins for this recipe, so I found these 4th of July Party Supplies Paper Napkins Dinners Napkins for a patriotic look. If you have any leftover after your gathering, they’re versatile enough to use all summer long.
